What about Trip Cancellation Insurance?

Frequently people will ask our advice concerning the value of having insurance.

While we believe that the decision is up to you, we can say that every year we have a number of people who are very glad that they bought insurance, and others who are upset that they did not.

For reasons discussed below we, like all tour companies, must have and adhere to cancellation policies. These are listed in all of our trip brochures. The best way to protect your investment in a trip is to purchase insurance that features trip cancellation.

All group travel involves prepaying costs. We make deposits and around 90 days before the trip takes place some of these deposits become non-refundable. A little while later we begin to make final payments. Again these payment are normally not refundable.

Trip cancellation insurance is the best way for you to insure a refund if it becomes necessary to cancel your trip. Since we are not in the insurance business, there are many circumstances under which we will not be able to issue you a refund.

As a result of our investigation of the market, we recommend Travel Guard insurance. We ourselves do not believe in cut-rate insurance that may or may not be there when you have a claim. We have found this to be a reliable company. In addition, we believe that the best value is the company's "ProtectAssist" policy.

We have brochures available for the asking. Or you can click on the Travel Guard logo to access the company's web site. Click on "Leisure Travel" to get more information and, if you wish, purchase a policy.
