Can I Lock My Suitcase?

Yes, now you can lock your suitcase again. For the last couple of years you haven't been able to put a lock on the zippers of you suitcase without the risk of having the baggage inspectors cut it off and ruin it in the process. But now, thanks to some new technology, there is a solution.

You can now purchase a lock that allows the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspectors to open the lock without destroying it. The locks are marked with a special identifying symbol that alerts the TSA inspectors. They can then use a special key to open the lock and relock it when they are finished. We've used them successfully on recent trips.

You can purchase these approved locks for about $8.00 at Target, Wal-Mart, or other stores that sell travel accessories.
